Who Are We?

We are a dedicated group of trans and non-binary individuals and their allies, passionate about advocating for the rights of Trans, Intersex and Non-Binary people. Our mission is to combat discrimination at a local level across Exeter and the South West, as well as on a national scale.

Why we need trans pride exeter

The rights of trans and non-binary individuals are under siege across the UK. A hostile media landscape and government policies have left many trans people feeling unwelcome, unsafe, and vulnerable. The recent Supreme Court Ruling limiting trans people’s access to single sex spaces, waiting lists for trans related health that are up to a decade long, and the restriction of trans healthcare for under 18s, all highlight the ongoing erosion of trans rights. It is more crucial than ever that we rally together to support our Trans, Non-Binary, Intersex, and all gender non-conforming friends, loved ones, and siblings.

What are we doing?

We are protesting! We organise protests and politically campaign for trans rights. For instance in May 2025 100s of people joined us to protest the Supreme Court Ruling that means transgender individuals can be treated by their birth sex in certain contexts, excluding them from many single-sex spaces.

On October 4th we will be celebrating our first Trans Pride Exeter, with a protest march through the town centre to Sidwell Centre, where we will be hosting talks and discussions about trans issues, a marketplace for trans artists and creators, and some fab music and spoken word!
