Dive into the (mostly) controlled chaos of improvised comedy - Collaborate with others to build silly scenarios through a number of humorous exercises. Beginners especially welcome!
Found poetry workshop!
Come join us for a 45 minute workshop where we celebrate our own voices & identities by exploring and creating poetry inspired by queer artists. In a safe and supportive environment, we will gather to create, connect and uplift each other! Whether you're an experienced creator or just starting out, everyone is welcome! All materials provided.
Trans Healthcare Beyond the GIC
Panel discussion exploring the current state and potential future of gender transition beyond the gender identity clinic. If you wish to submit questions anonymously you can do so using mentimeter with the code 2304 7649 or using this link: https://www.menti.com/al57wdzf9zbt There will also be the opportunity to ask questions live.
Origami Butterfly Making
Join Alex from Full Moon Exeter to make an origami butterfly. Butterflies symbolise transformation and renewal, while origami is a wonderful activity for calming the mind and finding a moment of peace. You'll be able to choose your paper, write a wish if you want, then follow simple instructions to fold a butterfly, with Alex on hand for support and guidance if you need it.
Listening Circle
To close the day gently - we will hold a listening circle. A hold a space for reflection - we gather in a circle, take turns speaking and listening deeply to one another without debate, advice, or interruption
Afterparty
Trans Pride Exeter’s afterparty is an evening of cabaret; finishing off a hard day’s protesting against transphobic dystopia with a show! Isn’t it all a show? We’ve drag kings and queens, and burlesque delights, with Climax Host Cleo Toris and Moonlight Garden Host Pandora Midnight.
Venue: Studio 1, Exeter Phoenix
Cost: £7.50 (includes venues £1 fee) per ticket, with a £1.50 order fee: https://exeterphoenix.org.uk/events/trans-pride-exeter-afterparty/
On the door: £6.50, but spaces are limited!
Accessibility:
We want to make Trans Pride Exeter as inclusive and accessible as possible. Key details of that include:
The march is on flat paths, pavements and roads, avoiding Exeter’s many hills.
The march from Dix’s Field to Bedford Square is ¼ of a mile, and it is ½ a mile from Bedford Square to the Exeter Community Centre.
Both Exeter St. Davids and Exeter Central Station are wheelchair accessible.
Accessible bus routes are available, with stops on the High Street and Sidwell Street.
A Changing Places toilet is located in the Princesshay Shopping Centre.
An accessible block will lead the march to set the pace. If you need to take a shorter version of the march, then we would suggest the section from Dix's field to Bedford Square.
The Community Centre events are over 2 floors but there is a wheelchair lift between floors that allows access to all of the rooms we are using.
There is a small number of Disabled parking spaces at the Exeter
Community Centre that can be reserved. Please get in touch with us if you need these.
A quiet chill-out room will be available at the Community Centre.
The Afterparty is in Studio 1 at the Exeter Phoenix, on the 1st floor. The Phoenix’s accessible entrance is on the left hand side of the building as you look at the main entrance, and there is a lift near the bar area.
Please email info@transprideexeter with any accessibility queries.
